Improv classes are taught regularly at the Comedy Conservatory, at 2301 Soniat Street, New Orleans, Louisiana. Just call Yvonne at (504) 231-7011 for class days and times.
ComedySportz skills translate very well to the business world and our teams do terrific team-building and skills workshops at a reasonable price. Most ComedySportz teams also offer beginner and intermediate workshops. Workshops are how we find most new CSz talent, too.
Corporate Workshops
Many beginning students of improvisation have no interest in performing for audiences. Many only seek to improve their communication skills. Improvisation students also note that what they learn in improvisation class directly improves their workplace skills. ComedySportz workshops incorporate voice training, body language, and portrayal of a problem or goal. Employees who have improvisational skills garner more consideration for their point of view during meetings and discussions.
Another advantage of ComedySportz above other creative exercises is that it requires the development of teamwork skills. ComedySportz players create scenes together, and must work as a team to finish the scene. If a player makes a mistake, the others must try to justify what the player did to make it look intentional. The players of ComedySportz must consider and incorporate the suggestions of other players, a priceless talent in corporate teamwork.
