A favorite band of mine, the Ka-Nives, released an album but they never designed a cover—they sold or gave away the records in a plain black sleeve, and my cat sestroyed the spine of that with her vicious claws. I was going to just throw the dern thing away but I decided to go look in the dollar bin and see if any covers inspired me. So I got a new jacket for my Ka-Nives LP, and here it is:

Some work I did finally went live; if you’re thinking of flying somewhere like Amsterdam, head over to http://www.klm.com and buy a ticket, and if you also want to select a hotel or rental car while you’re there, hey! That’s the part I worked on.

One of my cat Betty’s great pleasures was to get hold of a napkin that had held olive pits in it. She would roll around and huff those things for hours.

i went to the doctor today, in that medical building near Touro Hospital. There were so many old people there. I heard a lot of conversations. One lady (who revealed her age as ninety) was talking very loudly to her daughter about the price of funerals and another quite nice old lady butted in with some advice about exercise (to a person in a wheelchair); they all ended up sitting together and talking about the difficulty of keeping big dogs. I learned the old lady’s sister fell, also at the age of ninety, broke her collarbone, and died the following week. The lady said “died”, she didn’t say “passed” or anything. An ancient man came in, he walked with a walker; he looked put together but his eyes were falling out of his head, he was immaculately dressed, really nice dress clothes, and he pulled out an iPad from his tote bag and looked a little mad when the nurse came to get him before he could get the cover off. Angry Birds fan, perhaps? I noticed from the sign-in sheet he had a a kind of famous Louisiana business name.
My doctor visit was fine, if this were Yelp I’d start at four stars. I saw the nurse practitioner, actually; every time I’ve done that I want to tell them everything that’s happening with me, because they are so nice and informed and and immune to malpractice suits. I got a prescription and I told them my pharmacy was the CVS on Canal Street. I got a call a few minutes after I left from the CVS In Thibodeaux. They said they didn’t have enough pills to fill it. I said, “Thibodeaux seems like a long way to go to get a prescription filled. I’ve never been there. But I don’t know, maybe I should go…Is it nice there?” The lady assured me it was, and I should come at once, but I asked her if maybe a mistake had been made. I said, “Is there a Canal Street in Thibodeaux? Are y’all on it?” There is, and they are. We figured out the mistake, and my prescription went to the CVS on Canal Street in New Orleans, but now I kind of want to go to Thibodeaux, and see this Canal Street where somebody tried to fill a prescription for me.

I tried to draw a dog the other day and realized how hard that is.
So of course I decided my daily exercise should be some dogs. Not very good, but not awful.
It’s fun to think about dogs and to think like a dog.
(Very unfinished.)
