I have played in a lot of bands.

My current band is Jimmy and the Wolfpack, which is definitely the top r&b combo working the NYC area today.

The first one was called (I can't believe this) The Red M&Ms, which were poison at the time. This was in high school. We were pretty bad I guess, but I was at a wedding not all that long ago and somebody asked for a fresh copy of the tape. I could say a lot about what it was like playing in so many futile conglomerations, but for now let me just list them, since I don't feel very eloquent on the subject of how I wasted so very many hours, and I just want to laugh at the names:
Red M&Ms
Dial A Miracle (made a 45, it's ludicrous)
Cheerio and the Camels (one-time band with Adam Schlesinger from Fountains of Wayne, we played a box luncheon, come on, we were college freshmen)
The Grudniks
Everything Tool
Snake Oil
The Hi-Balls
Dirty Knives
Sleepy Heads
The Stacks
All-Night Movers
MAXIMVS!
Jimmy and the Wolfpack
Headless Hookers

...so ridiculous. How much money have I made from this? It probably totals out to about what you would give a godchild for a graduation gift, were you feeling flush. I once was handed a five hundred dollar check while in the middle of a song, and the prom organizer handing over the check said, in a stage whisper only I could hear, "you can stop now." I guess God or whoever will someday say the same thing and I will be as reluctant to take the advice as I was then.
