Certainly one of the greatest gigs of all time. We were halfway through the first song ("Mona") when the power went out. We thought we blew a fuse but what happened was the landlord had changed his mind about having the event. He came downstairs waving a shovel. Yeah, a big shovel.

Friday, February 21, 2003 not sure... with the Ka-Nives Lafayette LA this show is going to be kind of early, like 8 o'clock...
This show was at..."Cafe Cottage", a coffee shop. About fifteen guys (no girls) came out, and the only one who didn't have neck tattoos was Ronnie Ramada. We played outr ass off and even covered a Ka-Nives song. The beautiful bartender gave us an unlimited amount of Killian's Red, which is a red beer. and that's how we got paid.
P.S.: the Ka-Nives are the greatest band in America today.
Friday, January 31, 2003 Hi-Ho Lounge St. Claude Avenue New Orleans Bangs/All-Night Movers/Original 3
Bangs are on the Kill Rock Stars label....they come from Olympia Washington. They have a song on their new album Call And Response entitled "Dirty Knives" which is the name of Dave's previous band...coincidence? (Read the book!) Saturday, October 12, 2002 Jonathan Ferrara Gallery 841 Carondelet Street New Orleans What a messed-up show...Jonathan has a nice gallery to look at some art (and Adam Farrington's art is nice to look at), but the slightest sound is magnified a thousandfold. Old ladies and people who act like old ladies were crying and complaining, and, brothers and sisters, contrary to the rumors you've heard, we ain't that loud. So we ended up dragging everything out onto Carondelet Street and playing out there. (The picture on the homepage is from this part of the show.) We enjoyed rockin out for the streetcars.
The crowd was nicely divided between worthless whining aesthetes and art fanciers and drunken-ass party-down superpeople who will be richly rewarded throughout life for their enthusiasm. Looked like a hip-hop video from where we stood. Bless you.
